Julien Baker reconnected with her boygenius bandmates, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus, for her latest single "Favor." The song serves as the third single from Baker's highly-anticipated upcoming album
Little Oblivions, her first album recorded with a live band.

Back in 2018, the trio shared a self-titled six-song EP. They've gone on to collaborate on background vocals for Hayley Willams and Bridgers' projects. On "Favor," their soft harmonies meld perfectly.
Dacus explained how to song came together in a press release. "We sang on âFavorâ in Nashville the same day we recorded vocals for [Bridgersâ] âGraceland Tooâ and a song of mine. That day had the same atmosphere as when we recorded the boygenius EP.," she said. "Making music was just a natural result of being together, easy as can be but also rare in a way that feels irreplicable. I love the song for its stark but sensitive picture of friendship, what it looks like to recover from broken trust. Makes me think about how truth only ever breaks what should be broken, and how love is never one of those things. Iâm always honored to be brought into Julienâs life and music."
