Penryn Town Council have announced its new mayor and deputy at its latest full council meeting.
In the Town Council's first in-person meeting since the start of the pandemic, councillors Julie Tucker and Mary May were announced as mayor and deputy mayor respectively.
Councillors also thanked previous Mayor, Chaz Wenmoth, for his time in the position and for the able and efficient way that he has discharged his duties as town mayor during the 2020-2021 municipal year.
Speaking to The Packet, mayor Tucker spoke of how it hadn't quite sunk in yet and how delighted she was to be able to work alongside deputy mayor, Mary May.
