Judith Neilson Institute grants funding to FBi Radio

Community radio station, FBi, has received funding from the Judith Neilson Institute, allowing it to hire a paid executive producer for its flagship news and current affairs show, Backchat.

FBi Radio is excited to announce a new partnership with the Judith Nielson Institute.
The Institute, founded in 2018 to support quality journalism and storytelling, has provided funding to allow FBi Radio to appoint a paid Executive Producer position for its flagship news and current affairs program, Backchat.
Broadcasting live each Saturday morning, Backchat aims to tap into stories untold by the mainstream media, breaks down complex topics for youth audiences, and gives a platform to members of the community to be heard on the issues that matter to them. Sporting a long history as a training ground for young Australian media professionals, notable Backchat alumni include Osman Faruqi (7am), Avani Dias (triple j) and Maddison Connaughton (The Saturday Paper).
