A report published nightly by the county clerk's office during the early voting period showed the identifies of everyone who submitted a ballot that day — and included the home addresses for some voters that should've been redacted, the clerk's office acknowledged.
Alerted to the issue by the American-Statesman on Tuesday, Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir said her office had intended to upload a list with redacted addresses but mistakenly uploaded a list without the redactions. She said the reports were supplied to her office through a third-party vendor.
The flawed lists have since been corrected, with protected addresses replaced with a message stating "Address Withheld."
