Seven disgruntled ANC members and councillor hopefuls, including current councillors, went to court on Tuesday claiming their names had been removed from the party’s candidates’ list. One of the group, Dr WB Rubusana regional executive (REC) member Phumla Yenana, who is also BCM’s ward 17 councillor, said in her affidavit that their litigation was “an act of saving the ANC from becoming a monster that goes to war against its own citizens”.
