STAMFORD — The lawyer representing a suspect in the slaying of an Ursula Place resident says his client is unlikely to post bond after a judge hiked it by $150,000 on Thursday.
Deandre Parsons, 23, of Stamford, was arraigned before Judge John Blawie at Stamford Superior Courthouse following his arrest in Massachusetts earlier this month on charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree violation of probation.
The charges stem from the May 18 fatal shooting of 32-year-old Lwidji Brun at his Ursula Place home.
At the arraignment, Assistant State’s Attorney Daniel Cummings argued that Parsons’ bond in the murder case should be raised from $1 million to $2 million after the 23-year-old smashed his phone, traveled to Massachusetts and did not respond to attempts by his probation officer to contact him.
