Both Parker and Ruiz rebounded from early knockdowns to beat their opponents last weekend, with Parker gaining a controversial split points decision against Chisora in Manchester, and Ruiz getting a unanimous points decision against Chris Arreola in California soon after.
The official organisations haven’t reacted to the results yet, with Parker still at No 3 with the WBO and No 6 with both the WBC and IBF.
