Novich, Joseph Israel 1922 - 2023 Age 100 of St. Louis Park. Preceded in death by his parents, Max and Bertha Novich; sister, Marion Handelman; loving wife, Shirley (Kivatinitz) Novich; and special friend, Claire "Pokie" Katz. Survived by daughters, Lesley Novich, Marilyn Novich (Tim Cooley) and Laurie Kamman (Lee Kamman); adoring grandchildren, Matthew Kamman and Elizabeth Cooley; and many friends and family members who have loved him. Joe was born in the Westside St Paul neighborhood, moving to Northside Minneapolis following his marriage to Shirley in 1947 and, later to Golden Valley before moving to Knollwood Place. A graduate of U of MN Pharmacy school he worked as a pharmacist/owner in three stores continuing to work as a pharmacist following "retirement" until he was 85. Joe was a lifetime learner, devotee of music, theater, bridge and travel throughout his life. He will be remembered as a devoted family man and all around "Good Guy". Joe truly lived a full and satisfying life, and did it with great thought and generosity. We will miss him very much but keep him in loving memories. Funeral Services with be held at 10AM on THURSDAY, June 22nd, at UNITED HEBREW BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY CHAPEL, 2605 West 70th 1/2 Street, Richfield. SHIVA will be at 7PM on Thursday and Sunday June 22nd and June 25th, at Knollwood Place Apartments at 3630 Phillips Parkway at 7pm.
