Jose Alatorre Drowns In Percy Priest Lake

(SMYRNA, TN)  Rescue crews recovered the body of 40-year old Jose Alatorre from the Jefferson Springs Boat Ramp on Sharp Springs Road.  The Smyrna resident was located in Percy Priest Lake just before 11:00 o'clock Saturday night (9/4/2021). 
Rutherford County Fire Rescue located the victim using side scan sonar technology. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency confirmed the sonar readings with a remotely operated vehicle. Divers then recovered the body.
