WORCESTER — A Department of Public Works and Parks employee with 16 years of experience working for the city of Worcester received the first ever Paul J. Moosey Department of Public Works & Parks Employee of the Year Award Tuesday.
The first employee to be awarded the honor was Jonathan Gervais, 48, the environmental manager of the Department of Public Works and Parks.
The award is named after former commissioner of public works and parks Paul J. Moosey, who died of cancer last October at the age of 63. The award is meant to honor employees who demonstrate the passion and dedication that Moosey brought to the city for 36 years.
