Federal regulators recommended halting the use of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S. after a handful of rare but serious adverse reactions involving blood clotting were reported earlier this week.
In number, the cases aren’t statistically significant. There are six known cases to date out of more than 6.8 million doses of the single-dose vaccine administered across the country.
