A devoted son, he served as a wonderful caregiver to both of his parents. John had a love and enjoyment of the great outdoors and all it had to offer. He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed time spent at deer camp, and in his spare time liked to ride his motorcycle that was custom painted with Miami Dolphins themes. He made several motorcycle trips with friends over the years. John was a longtime member of the American Legion and frequented both the Marquette and Little Lake posts. He was also a member of both the Negaunee Rod and Gun Club and the Richmond Township Sportsmans Club.
