Orange City, IA (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown men’s basketball team withstood the home crowd and Northwestern until the final two minutes of the game as the Red Raiders defeated the Jimmies 74-69.
The Jimmies led by five going into the halftime break after shooting 48% from the field. Jamestown was also 46% from long range and held Northwestern to just 1-8 from three. The Jimmies were outscored by 10 in the second half as the Red Raiders lit up the stat sheet by hitting on 60% of their shots.
Jamestown was led in scoring by sophomore Mason Walters, who had his 21st double-double of the year. Walters finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds and has the most double-doubles of any player in the NAIA this season.
