Jim Weems, of Terrell, passed away April 10, 2021 into the presence of his Lord and Savior. Jim was born July 21, 1944 in Lufkin to Jim and Gladys (Jones) Weems, both of whom greeted him in Heaven along with his brother Roy Weems and grandson Levi Hamby.
Jim was a man of many interests and talents. He was a talented millwright with his high precision craftsmanship being primarily in the industrial side where he would oversee the installation, dismantling, repair, reassembly and moving of machinery in factories, power plants and construction sites.Â
He had an eye for detail as well as an enviable skill of seeing the big picture and, as a result, he was a very well respected colleague in his field. Jim was also a skilled woodworker, mechanic and farmer having raised cattle where he lived.Â
