CLOSURE: JTF in Barrow
THIRTY people look set to lose their jobs because a large discount store is facing permanent closure after its owner went into administration.
The JTF Discount Warehouse in Barrow opened less than a year ago but looks set to close after the company collapsed.
The store is listed as being temporarily closed but it and all 11 others across the country are reported to not be reopening, with staff being made redundant.
The company said around 30 workers were employed at the Ashburner Way store and now make up around 500 JTF employees made redundant.
The company has entered into an insolvency procedure called a corporate voluntary arrangement, according to Companies House.
