Jennifer Lopez, Netflix agree on multi-year deal for movies, TV & more

Proving that she's one of the hardest-working performers in the business, Jennifer Lopez's Nuyorican Productions has inked a multi-year first-look deal with Netflix that will include feature films, TV series, and unscripted content.
The deal will also put an emphasis on projects that support diverse female actors, writers, and filmmakers. Ahead of the deal going public, Lopez already had two feature projects in the works at the platform including the Niki Caro-directed
The Cipher, which is based on the Isabel Ojeda Maldonado novel.
The Mother follows a deadly assassin who comes out of hiding to teach her daughter how to survive. Lopex is currently in training for the role and it's expected to start filming in the fall. The actress had this to say about the Netflix deal:
