Jared S. Hopkins is an investigative reporter for the Chicago Tribune, which he joined in 2009. He currently focuses on the tangling worlds of sports, money and legal issues, and he was part of the Tribune’s reporting staff at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Hopkins’ recognitions include being named a finalist for the Livingston Award For Young Journalists and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Before joining the Tribune, he spent more than three years at the Times-News in Twin Falls, Idaho. Hopkins is a graduate of the Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland-College Park.
