JAMES VALLEY EDUCATION COOPERATIVE Board Minutes May 4, 2022 The meeting was called to order at 1:06 PM. Roll call was taken with the following present: Christensen, Culhane, Graves, Mikkonen, Olson, Siemsen and Weber. Motion to approve agenda, made by Siemsen, seconded by Mikkonen. Motion carried. Motion to approve the minutes of the last meeting made by Graves seconded by Siemsen. Motion carried. Motion to approve claims made by Olson, seconded by Siemsen. Motion carried. Motion to approve JVEC Overview and Basic Commitments, Job Descriptions and Agreement made by Graves, seconded by Mikkonen. Motion carried. Motion to approve a 6% salary increase to JVEC employees Hamburg, Krouse, Lord, Maeschen, Nash and Williams with a $1.50 per hour increase to Moller made by Siemsen, seconded by Mikkonen. Motion carried. Motion to approve a 6% salary increase to Director Christensen made by Graves, seconded by Siemsen. Motion carried. Motion to approve JVEC Employee Policies made by Mikkonen, seconded by Olson. Motion carried. Motion to approve Adoption and Renewal Motion and Participation Agreement with ASB Protective Trust South Dakota School District Workers’ Compensation Fund for the 22-23 school year made by Olson, seconded by Mikkonen. Motion carried. Motion to approve the resolution approving the amendment for changes to ASB Protective Trust Joint Powers Agreement and Bylaws made by Siemsen, seconded by Olson. Motion carried. JVEC board reviewed 22-23 budget. Director’s report was given. Motion to approve JVEC Budget Hearing and board meeting on June 1, 2022, at 10:00 AM at MCTEA, Room 113. No conflict of interest or public comment. Meeting adjourned.
