To boost sales to the destination, the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has relaunched its Travel Specialist Advisory Committee and expanded it to 11 members from seven, comprised of graduates of the JTB's specialist program drawn from across the U.S. and Canada.
The members will serve a one-year term.
The main purpose of the advisory committee is to provide the JTB with advice on the way forward for the Travel Specialist One Love Rewards Program, with emphasis on developing niche market training strategy, revamping the general training course and offering incentives to members.
The Travel Specialist program did not stop during Covid. However, the Advisory Committee, established in 2016, did not meet frequently in the past year.
