A man serving a life sentence for murdering a young woman more than 30 years ago has been sentenced for the rape and murder of a second woman, Linda Doris Reed, on the Gold Coast in 1983.
Troy James O’Meara forced 21-year-old Mrs Reed to leave her work on December 13 while she was on her lunch break, drove her 30 minutes to bushland, before binding, raping and killing her.
