FIRST Minister Nicola Sturgeon has been urged to relax Dumbarton and the Vale’s Covid restrictions further – and to place the whole of West Dunbartonshire under Tier 2 protection measures.
Local MSP Jackie Baillie insists that the numbers back up her plea to further ease the limits on local daily life.
The results of the next scheduled review of the Covid protection levels across Scotland’s 32 local authorities are due to be announced today (Tuesday).
As of Thursday, December 10 – the latest dates for which figures are available – West Dunbartonshire had had 66 confirmed positive tests for Covid-19 in seven days, representing 3.8 per cent of the local population.
