J&J Covid-19 vaccine: Are blood clots and the pausing of SA's rollout a cause for major concern?

his decision was made after "very rare" cases of blood clotting were found among six vaccine recipients in the US.
Health24 spoke to Professor Linda-Gail Bekker about whether this potential side effect is a cause for concern.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize announced on Tuesday evening that the country would halt the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Covid-19 vaccine rollout.
"We have determined to voluntarily suspend our rollout until the causal relationship between the development of clots and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is sufficiently interrogated," he said. He added that a decision on whether to continue with the rollout would be made within the next few days .
