BAI Communications strengthens US presence with Mobilitie acquisition

BAI Communications (BAI) acquires telecommunications infrastructure US company Mobilitie. The acquisition puts BAI in a position to support telecommunications operators and municipalities in the US. It also furthers BAI’s capabilities of providing neutral host infrastructure in the major subways of different countries.
According to BAI, the acquisition represents a major expansion of their business in North America. The company provides cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity across large infrastructure projects, including the New York City subway system, under its majority owned business Transit Wireless.
It significantly extends BAI’s footprint coast-to-coast. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory clearances and is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.
