Dr. Shekhar Challa is partnering with Medtronic as a member of a newly formed physician advisory panel. The recently formed six-member physician advisory panel will offer input to further Medtronic’s goal of advancing medical technology and biomedical engineering within the gastrointestinal and hepatology specialties. Medtronic is among the world’s largest medical technology, services and solutions companies, employing more than 90,000 people worldwide and serving physicians, hospitals and patients in more than 150 countries. The company is focused on collaborating with stakeholders around the world to further modern health care. As the president and CEO of Kansas Medical Clinic, Challa is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing gastroenterology and hepatology in Topeka. Over the past 33 years, he has taken his love of healthcare and used it to grow a conglomerate of successful medical clinics in Kansas and Missouri, as well as a variety of other business endeavors that help people live better lives. Challa was inducted to the Topeka Business Hall of Fame in 2020 and is the author of several books. Challa is also the principal investigator for the KMC Research Center.
