It's cramped, outdated and needs repairs. There's a push for a new Hartford Capital Community College campus.

The "vertical campus" created on the 11 floors of the former G. Fox & Co. store no longer fits what is expected in a 21st century college learning environment, senior administrators for the state's public college system say.
