AN ISLE of Wight man charged with using grossly offensive language towards children's services staff has been given a trial date.
Christopher Bowden, of no fixed abode, appeared before the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Wednesday (June 9).
The 44-year-old has been charged with sending electronic communications with intent to cause distress or anxiety, between April 19, 2021, and April 28.
The court heard the charge relates to communications between Mr Bowden and Hampshire Children's Services, alleged to contain grossly offensive language.
Prosecutor, Tim Moores, told the court recordings of some phone calls were available.
Mr Bowden's case was adjourned, and a trial date was set for November 1.
