Tonkin & Taylor’s four short term options ranged from as little as $600,000 to an upper projected cost of $2.5 million.
The scale of works ranged from resurfacing and safety improvements at the southern end of The Parade through to the same upgrades along the length of the road plus redevelopment of cycle infrastructure near the main shopping area.
A shortlist of six long-term upgrades included solutions varying from an additional cost of nothing after carrying out a short-term option only to $16.9m for substantially improved safety features, realigned cycle lanes and upgrades to the shopping area.
