An earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and surrounding areas, with tremors felt around 5:30 am. The earthquake's depth was 16 kilometers. Residents recited Kalma-e-Tayyaba, fearing the quake, but no casualties or property damage were reported.
