An assistant commissioner of police (ACP) and his driver had a narrow escape after an iron rod protruding from a trailer truck hit their sports utility vehicle (SUV) on L&T bypass road in Coimbatore. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, resulting in minor injuries to both the ACP and the constable. The trailer truck, driven by Gurumith Singh, was later seized by highway patrol police. The truck owner agreed to cover the repair expenses, resolving the issue amicably.
