Iqaluit city councillor, charged with aggravated assault, resigns

Documents filed with the Nunavut Court of Justice show Joanasie Akumalik faces a charge of assaulting someone on June 10. Iqaluit Mayor Kenny Bell confirmed Wednesday that Akumalik has resigned from council.
