The Iowa Supreme Court said Friday that two restaurants cannot collect damages from insurance policies for losing business when they closed their dining areas in the first weeks of the covid-19 pandemic. The court sided with insurers who said the eateries were covered for business interruption due to physical loss or property damage, and that there were no physical aspects to the loss of business that started in March 2020.
