For the second week in a row, the University of Iowa Athletic Department announced that 14 members tested positive for COVID-19.
In the week ending December 27
th, 14 of 386 tests came back positive, a rate of 3.63%. The previous week, there were 443 tests and 14 positives, a rate of 3.16%.
Last week, University of Iowa Football suspended in-person activities for five days after an outbreak that included Head Coach Kirk Ferentz, assistant coaches, and a handful of players. Due to privacy laws, it is not known what members of the Athletic Department tested positive for coronavirus this past week.
