TOKYO, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach extended congratulations to newly elected Tokyo 2020 organizing committee chief Hashimoto Seiko, praising her as the "perfect choice."
Bach said in a statement, "My heartfelt congratulations go to my fellow Olympian Hashimoto Seiko on her appointment as President of the Organising Committee Tokyo 2020.
