Investor flows show CTA appeal in Q3 moving into Q4 but faltering longshort funds post losses and lose flows

HFM's CTA index retreated 0.3% in September but several well-known trend-followers outperformed. Flows were more encouraging, as estimates place CTAs joint top in September and third in Q3.
