Investigation probes latest North Shore fire

An investigation is underway into what could be the latest in a long line of arsons plaguing the city's North Shore, police and firefighters said Sunday.
RCMP and Kamloops Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a fire on McArthur Island just after midnight Sunday. Crews found a Gator ATV on fire near the Boys and Girls Club of Kamloops.
The blaze was quickly extinguished. Fire and Rescue assistant chief Mike Adams said it's too early to tell how the vehicle was set alight or if the incident is connected to a rash of other arson fires in North Kamloops.
