EDMOND — Students and leaders of different faith traditions came together for a recent worship service for high school seniors.
Several faith leaders coordinated an interfaith baccalaureate for Edmond area schools that included readings and music from the Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Baha'i faith traditions.
The event was May 16 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church-Edmond, 900 N Sooner Road.
A baccalaureate is a worship service typically offered for a school's graduating class and their families and friends. The religious event is generally held a few days before high school commencement.
The Rev. Josh Attaway, campus pastor for St. Luke's- Edmond, said hosting the event was in line with St. Luke's mission to bring people together.
