We’ve known for a while now that Intel’s upcoming Alder Lake-S processors are due out in late 2021. Now, new reports indicate a more specific launch window, claiming that Intel’s 12th Gen Core processors will be arriving in November, roughly eight months after Rocket Lake-S.
The rumour coming from Wccftech also claims this will be the first platform with PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 support. In the last few weeks, Intel has been discussing the release of the Alder Lake-S platform with partners. While some motherboards may be limited to DDR4 memory instead of DDR5, PCIe 5.0 support is said to be in place across all upcoming motherboards.
