"Colonial Hothouse" by Casa Gusto
The design team, antiques purveyors, and shop owners behind Palm Beach–based Casa Gusto transformed a two-level foyer and staircase space at the entrance of the home. Titled "Colonial Hothouse," the designers say they sought to evoke "a sense of comfort and familiarity while being the beating 'artery' of the house."
Filled with objects that span centuries and textures that range from hand-crafted papier-mâché goods created by Casa Gusto to inverted pleat drapery created custom by The Shade Store and antique bronze lighting from Jamb, this space is impeccably well-collected and welcoming. The walls are swathed in a soothing Saybrooke Sage by Benjamin Moore.
