InRetail Perú Corp. has taken out a bridge loan for $375 million from JPMorgan to finance the acquisition of Makro Supermayorista in Peru from Dutch group SHV, according to Skadden, its legal adviser on the deal.
InRetail said on December 23 that its subsidiary Supermercados Peruanos had agreed to buy wholesale retailer Makro for $360 million. The acquisition involves 16 stores that recorded PEN1.81 billion ($499 million) in sales in 2019.
