The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra was forced to wipe out the majority of its concerts in 2020. But its new 2021-2022 indoor season is largely built off of two major themes from its lost year: a longing for travel and racial justice.
Much of the season falls under the theme "Postcards from Abroad," which organizes musical works by location from the West to Latin America to the Middle East and Asia. The symphony decided to explore the world from Indianapolis because travel has been so difficult, according to the season brochure. Guest artists from around the world will perform at Hilbert Circle Theatre.
