Trishakti Corps Indian Army troops and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) have completed the Bailey bridge over the Teesta River in Chungthang, Sikkim, connecting flood-affected areas with the mainland. The 200-foot bridge is the longest and heaviest single span Bailey bridge that can be launched. The construction took around five days, with BRO initially constructing concrete abutments.
