indian army: Indian Army and BRO completes Chungthang Bailey Bridge in Sikkim, reconnecting flood affected areas

Trishakti Corps Indian Army troops and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) have completed the Bailey bridge over the Teesta River in Chungthang, Sikkim, connecting flood-affected areas with the mainland. The 200-foot bridge is the longest and heaviest single span Bailey bridge that can be launched. The construction took around five days, with BRO initially constructing concrete abutments.
