India has registered 50,040 new Covid-19 cases and 1,258 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the Union health ministry on Sunday. A total of 57,944 patients recovered during the same time.

The top five states which registered maximum cases are Kerala with 12,118 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 9,812 cases, Tamil Nadu with 5,415 cases, Karnataka with 4,272 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 4,147 cases. (File photo)
