India has requested that Canada withdraw around 40 diplomats from the country by October 10, according to the Financial Times. The request comes after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of involvement in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a designated terrorist in India and Khalistani activist. India has warned that diplomats who stay beyond the specified date may have their diplomatic immunity withdrawn. The Canadian foreign ministry and the Indian government declined to comment on the matter.
