Hello, everybody. And welcome back to high school OT in the league. It is our weekly show here on high school t where we talk about the weeks that are the people who went to our played high school football North Carolina had in the NFL on it was another good week for our guys. Um, Joel as always, Joining me. Joel Bryant How How did you enjoy this week of football? It was good. Um, our primetime games this week. We're pretty good. I don't think the ones next week, you're gonna be as good, but especially last time that Monday night football game. Um, I turned off a little bit after halftime, but I saw the way Twitter was reacting to it. So I got out of bed and finished watching it. Attractant returned from Lamar Jackson. They're pretty exciting television. Um, the stories of them going to the locker room and back and probably estimate something like that. We reference for years, probably just like the Paul Pierce thing, but yeah, it was exciting week. Interesting performances, especially in the first thing we're gonna talk about from two guys that don't really talk about as much, but they had some big games on Sunday. Yeah, in the first game, we're going to get into the Chicago Bears. A big win over the Houston Texans. This was, uh, kind of a game where both teams were long shots to make the playoffs and Chicago had a better chance. But you know, had no momentum at all. That didn't matter. The Bears came out and made a statement. Now they're back in the playoff race, and Houston is done for Cheon Cross and had another nice game for the Texans. Nine tackles in the past. Break up. He finally got a shot to play on defense because of an injury. We've talked about him as a special teams guy out of North Hampton County. Carlos Watkins for the Texans also went to Clemson, and Chase had four tackles, including two for loss in. Jimmy Graham got back into the swing of things after kind of losing his job to Coal. Commit the first round pick of the Bears a little bit. He had four catches for 23 yards and a touchdown for the Bears. Uh, Joel, we had a lot of guys kind of kind of do some impressive stuff in this game. Did you watch any of it? I saw. I saw. I think I saw a little bit of this on Red Zone, Gram and Gram and commit shared targets this week. So it's little bit interesting because Graham is completely factored out last week. But they both have the same out targets. Say, Mouth catches four catches. Come ahead like 41 yards. Grammy 23 yards. But the touchdown was obviously big. Any time you can score, um, he's still he's still one of these guys is kind of like working his way of those career list. So I'm interested to see in the final three games here, if that is, if his use is gonna be more like this past Sunday or the Sunday before this one. Yeah, the Bears kind of have to balance, you know, getting their first round pick commit and getting the most out of that investment with Does Graham as a veteran kind of give you the best chance in the passing game? I mean, that Bears offense, when it's on, is pretty impressive. Uh, neither of us are particularly high on Nagy as a coach, but when he pushed Robiskie in the right spot. He's one of those guys who could be good, like the cousins and Mayfield's of the world's who, when you kind of help them with their job, they're good at, um, other news in the A f C. Another game with big playoff implications. The Indianapolis Colts, with a 44 to 27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Not Oakland almost said Oakland, but it's Las Vegas. 19. Heinz had a nice day. Seven. Russia's for 58 yards along of 31. Also four catches for 17 yards. Uh, interesting to note about those 11 touches for me is that Jonathan Taylor was awesome in this game. It was kind of his breakout game, and now he still picks up 11 touches. So that tells you when when Taylor, the second round pick, kind of breaks out. Now he still has a big role in this offense, which I think it's good to see for him. Also do. Nico Autry of the Colts did not get a tackle, but did play in 65% of the snaps. Taipan Lewis did have a tackle out of Tarboro and Ohio State uh, in Chris Smith, the guy out of the Raiders that we haven't really talked about. Winter West. Rohan Gotta tackle in. Kendal Vickers out of Havelock. Had two tackles for Las Vegas. Huge win for the Colts. Uh, Philip Rivers, having a good year after after kind of seemingly being pretty close to done. Hey, really fell apart as the season went on last year with the Chargers, everyone was like he was aging. His arm is declining as he goes on in the season. He done that two years in a row. This year, it kind of feels like he's getting better as the season goes on. And does he also need surgery after this season? He might. You already accepted the high school football job? Yeah, Colts quarterback jobs open next year. Um, interesting thing that stands out about this is, uh, and and, uh, was a mailbox. First GM Year 2019, where the Raiders drafted Cleveland Furl, the fourth overall pick in the draft. The address room Clemson. He has not been very productive at all. Chris Smith and Kendal Vickers. And this week, uh, basically, have they? I think they kind of, um either Vickers Eat Chris Smith equal this production, and Vickers eclipsed it. So I'm gonna go back and look to see throughout the season that they've been kind of outpacing furl. Just interesting how these guys aren't heralded, uh, coming out, um, end up being probably equal of NFL players with guys picked in the top five. So I'm gonna be paying attention to that. It is good to see Vickers, especially. He went up to Canada. He didn't make the NFL initially, but he went to Canada and came back this year. The Raiders game of trial. And he played well in training camp and got a spot on the team. And he's doing well used to that. Two tackles in the game. Uh, it's a good story for both of these guys, I think. Absolutely. The Panthers, they lose again. That draft pick is is going to be looking pretty good. They're gonna have a lot of options. After going all defense in this draft, I might be looking at, uh, a weapon on offense. Maybe we'll see it's gonna be You're saying quarterback, You think next because they're not. They're not getting Lawrence or Fields. Zach Wilson, Zach Wilson or Mac Jones could be an option or one of those wide receivers from the SEC. It's gonna be interesting. Of course, it's gonna depend on what ownership wants, but I have a feeling that if they do want to court back, then had to trade up. Yeah, I think I agree. But finally, Pharaoh Cooper, punt returner extraordinaire, gets involved in the passing game this week in the absence of D. J. Moore, who was out due to a positive test for Cove in 19 Best wishes to D. J. Moore hope he stays relatively symptom free and and can return to the field soon. But Cooper gets the opportunity, and he makes the most of it. Three catches for 52 yards from Teddy Bridgewater. This was a really interesting game. The Broncos offense finally looked really good. KJ Handler had two huge touchdowns. He was a guy I remember on draft that you and I were kind of starting to hype up the Broncos a little bit when they got Judy and Handler. Uh, and they've been That team has just been so injured all year, finally starting to live up to that potential, possibly about that tackle by Judy. Yeah, Judy Judy is looking good. Drew Lock had his best game of the year. Impressive performance by the Broncos. That does come at the expense of Justin Burress in the Panthers defense. But Burress had seven tackles, so he did his job defensively. Um, yeah, I mean, when the Broncos were going locks, got a big arm. And Judy and Handler are speedy. They've got three tight ends who can, who can make some plays. The weapons were there. That's a tough. That's a tough group to defend on a few pieces of that parent, There's defense. Miss some practice time this week due to be in close contacts, I suppose, of D. J. Moore. But Derek Brown and Shaq Thompson, two of the most important players on that defense, did miss some time. What did you see from this game? And what did you see from from Pharaoh Cooper and burst specifically? Do you think we have a wide receiver controversy in Carolina? Yeah, we were lost his job. Maybe it's possible, you know, three catches, 52 yards, you know, very fast. Guy from have locked. So he has the advantage. Um, yeah, just I'm glad that he was able to have some production and their loss. Uh, it's always It's always kind of tough, you know, coming in are replacing somebody. But yeah, it was good to see that. Justin Bour. It's like this guy for all things considered. He came in completely under our radar, coming into the drink and portion of this. But he comes in. He makes the Panthers, and early on this season, he just really stands out. He's continued to play pretty well throughout the season. Uh, you know, seven tackles, pretty solid as the Broncos. A really nice success story for the Panthers this season, I think, absolutely. And saying in the NFC South, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, uh, silence a lot of Doubters this week after struggling pretty hard these last few weeks before thereby they beat the Minnesota Vikings, 26 to 14. That puts the Vikings in a tough spot. Playoff wise, it's got to be a confidence booster for the Bucks. Um, the special teams were the difference because, uh, Dan Bailey, for the Vikings, he was missing kicks left and right. Meanwhile, Ryan suck up of hickory. Uh, made both of his field goal attempts long and 48 2 out of three extra points. So the missed extra points. Not great, but he made his field goals. Bailey didn't from Minnesota, and when the offense couldn't get going for the Bucks, Pinion punted. Very well, look along of 61. Um, yeah, interesting game. Garrett Bradbury. Another solid game at center. He made some plays. He's a guy that kind of the film, people on Twitter or starting toe form an appreciation for with what he does. That offense, Which is cool to see because, you know, we saw that a lot at N C. State. Hey was kind of, Ah, big piece of that offense. And now he's doing the same thing for the Vikings. So tough loss for the Vikings. But the superior special teams unit, our special teams unit, wins out for stuck up. You know, I would definitely rather him make the field goals in the extra points. So that zone newspaper um, he really has struggled with extra points this season than than the actual field goals. It's kind of interesting how that how some kickers just kind of ever since that that they moved. The extra point back has really changed the outcome of a lot of games. I think it's probably for the best. They made a lot of games, but we're interesting with that. But Penny and yes, 61 yarder, that's a good point. One land inside the 20 kind of. I'm kind of disappointed the Vikings performance because the bucks have it looks so great recently, Uh, Buck's defense is a pretty solid job starting them down. Jefferson didn't really do anything on Sunday. Um, I don't think feelings game was amazing either. Eso is interesting outcome to this game. I say, Yeah, it was. I think we're kind of due for a Kirk Cousins clunker. Hey, does have two great weapons and feeling and Jefferson and the books were able to take them away. So that was big. I mean, just a big game for for the playoff picture. Really? Because now the Bears, with their win or tied with the Vikings, and that's gonna be a really close divisional race there at the end, uh, premium to later in the show. Yeah, also in the NFC, a huge another huge playoff implications game. The Arizona Cardinals finally get back on track after struggling pretty mightily lately. They handle the New York Giants, UH, in East Rutherford, 26 to 7. The Giants couldn't get anything going offensively, and the Cardinals kind of did just enough. D. J. Humphries are left tackle for Arizona out of Florida, and Mallard Creek has played the most snaps in the league at offensive tackle. I mean, how often do you see a team season kind of derailed by an injury? The left tackle? Uh, it's just so huge. The best ability is availability, and his normal ability is good because he's Pff's number five player at the position. So the combination of of staying healthy and performing well on the field, that's so huge for an offense, especially in offense. That's not well, coaster designed. Aziz. We have pointed out on the show a few times, but, yeah, a big win for the Cardinals. Kyler Murray kind of gets his legs back a little bit. Um, yeah, Humphries was big. Sweezy Plate did a pretty good job this week after after a couple of tough for weeks on Lamont, Gaillard played in 16% of the snaps. Dexter Lawrence, I mean, this is We had a lot of guys, so this is gonna take a bit. But Dexter Lawrence had four tackles in the hit on Kyler Murray, of course. Dexter played for Clinton and Wake Forest High School B J Hill, out of NC State in West Stanley, had three tackles for the Giants, including one for loss. Daniel Jones had been turning things around. Then he got hurt. And I think you and I are both on the same page that, you know, after that win with Colt McCoy last week, they might have rushed Jones back a little bit because he did not look healthy at all. 11 of 21 for 127 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions. He took six sacks and lost a fumble. And the thing with Daniel Jones that you kind of expect is, uh, mobility and ran rushing. And he didn't do any of that. And I think that's kind of the telltale sign that he wasn't at 100%. Yeah, the hands thing. The hamstring is still bothering him, obviously, because you know how much he likes to scramble. Run? Uh, none of that this week. Um Yeah, not a not an amazing effort for Jones. You have to. You have to think he's gonna be able to bounce back next week and play a little bit better than he did this week. But back to Humphries, he's had a Pro Bowl season. He's had a Pro Bowl season, and I understand why he wouldn't make it. Because the Cardinals haven't been just amazing. This a lot of times, you know, those players will be favorited towards the that seems that air just generally better. Maybe the guy's not individually has good eso. I hope he does make the Pro Bowl. I think he's earned it. Um, like you said, the durability and the plan, the field is spoken for himself. Eso just amazing season for Humphrey. So far, he's really This is the best season of his career. He's really kind of taking a big step this year. He has a big contract. He's kind of really living up to that contract this season. The Titans. They avoid a disaster. After a really tough loss to the Cleveland Browns last week, they handle the Jacksonville Jaguars, 31 to 10 Harold Landry, out of Boston College and Pine Forest with two tackles. Laurel Murchison, out of NC State in East Bladen, had a tackle for the Titans. Ty Smith out of Towson and Wakefield had three tackles in the past. Break up for the Titans. He's the guy we haven't talked about too much, so he made an impact on this one. Smith got a boost in playing time because Breon borders out of Statesville was placed on the injured reserve. So one door closes, another door opens for these North Carolina alum. It just goes to show kind of the depth of what we've got, um, in the league, because, you know, this is the second time with the Cardinals offensive line with Gaillard a little bit, uh, and then the Jets. When what Crowder goes out, Barrios comes in, then, Yeah, that's love. Seeing their, you know, their travels with Carlos Dunlap out. And then, Ah, rarity Braxton Barrios from Jamison Crowder out of Leesville Road and Monroe, respectively, both healthy in this one. But Barrios out produces Crowder three catches, 49 yards for various two catches, seven yards for Crowder. The Seahawks have really struggled in the secondary this year, so I think, you know, with the game script and how that was gonna play out. I think we both expected the bigger game for Crowder with all the passing opportunities against support Secondary. But it's barrios that takes advantage 49 yards along with 34. So Braxton showing off his big play ability. Um, I'm assuming you didn't see too much of this one because it was such a blowout. But what do you make it fast? We have. I didn't bum. I know Crowder was actually targeted more. You started five times. I think he was attacked. Target 43 I think, darling, Probably missing a couple of times, which I mean, I'm assuming that Darrelle missing a couple of times because, you know, Donald has not been great. Uh, used to guys, man, like they get a chance stick around next year. It could be a lot more. Is it? It is more fun, a phrase. It could be a lot more fun for them. Next season will just be a lot better. Everything could be a lot better for the Yes. I'm glad that Jonathan Bullard got rolled this week. I'm not glad that Carlos Dunlap got hurt, but it's good to see Bullard come in even the most. You know, 34% of snaps and five tackles. That's that's good production of limited number of snaps. Farley's had a really strong season lately. Um, yeah, it's just the Jets as a collective unit, its's just not. It's just not a good thing this year, but we are seeing good individual things from former NC players. Yes, the Los Angeles Chargers to feed the Atlanta Falcons, 22 17. This was a good game. Um, some miscues on offense by the Falcons at the end allowed the Chargers to come out on top. This is kind of, ah, who's going to mess up the least game? Because these are the two teams famous for for heartbreaking losses. It's the Falcons on the receiving end of it this time as Matt Ryan throws two picks late in the fourth, Herbert responded to the first one with the pick of his own to give the Falcons another chance. But after the second Ryan pick, Herbert and Keenan Allen lead the charges down the field. Michael Bachelor gets the field goal and Keenan Allen nine catches 52 yards and a touchdown. He is five receptions away from his career high. Does he still lead the league in receptions? I know there's some fun things passed him on Sunday. Yes, the funding 100 now is up there with him, eh? So that would be an interesting race. I think he might get him back, though. That'll be an interesting race to see if Alan can can pull back ahead and win that one. Digs having a tremendous year with the Bills. Also from our guys in this game. Todd Gurley, 19 rushing yards on six carries, 12 receiving yards on two receptions. The Falcons just aren't really making much of an effort to establish the run at this point. Um, and that offense has really struggled with Julio Jones out on. He's been out a few times this year, including in this game, Um, they can kind of key in on Calvin Ridley defensively, and then you don't have to worry about the run game because they're behind or close game and they try too hard to throw the ball. It's kind of a mess in Atlanta again, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The defense has done a pretty good job. Limiting Allen to 52 yards is pretty impressive, but nine catches gonna touchdown for keen. And you love to see that. So Alan past Julian Edelman career receptions This game. He now has 6 23. He's one behind Jarvis Landry, 6 24. Which kind? Interesting? It is surprising, but you know, he would have more receptions than Jarvis Landry. I think generally the Chargers offense had more weapons in the beginning of their careers than the Dolphins offense. That Landry is just like a target machine in Miami. Um, it hasn't been nearly that that way with the Brown. So I think there's a chance that Alan ends up really separating the next couple of years. Jimmy Graham from earlier. He has 6 91. Now he's two behind Golden Tate Is that crazy for 53 all time. He's 53 all time, so I think if he if he does come back next year, he'll he'll solidify himself into the top 50 career receptions for a tight end. For a guy that didn't even play football until college, you know pretty good. And that's Jimmy Graham. Uh, you know, Alan of course, gonna move up the list. I think, uh, he's got probably four or five years solid left in the tank. At least your Eagles upset the New Orleans Saints. A very fun game. I enjoyed this one a lot. Jalen hurts against Taysom Hill at quarterback, but Javon Hargrave was the one who stole the show. He made several big plays against Taysom Hill and that Saints offensive wine, of course. Javon Hargrave out of North Carolina and four tackles, two sacks. Fumble recovery. Three hits on Taysom Hill. Huge win for the Eagles there. Now back in the divisional race after appearing to be done in the water. And I think, you know, obviously that quarterback switch is kind of what did it hurts. Was pretty impressive, especially with legs over 100 rushing yards. Decent effort in the passing game as well. Um, yeah. I mean, we also had Nick East and suffer. Ah, concussion in this won his second of the year. That's awful. You hope he he recovers quickly. Those repeated concussions could be really troubling for a career, so hopefully it's a minor one, and he's able to get back at it soon uh, in a safe and healthy way. Um, but, you know, your eagles got the job done. Huge win over the Saints ST. Finally lose, uh, rare that a rookie quarterback beats a team on a winning streak that long, so so a notch. And Jalen hurts his belt. Well, what are you feeling about that I do to defend ourselves a little bit? Because we think the Saints last week, But we did that before they named hurts the actual starter E no, I was gonna wait for that personally. Um, but he was, uh, he he's looked better than I thought he would. Yeah, I think it's hard to say, Um just the confidence of the command of the offense. It's kind of like using completely different player than folds, but almost has that same calming presence that folds had when Foles went on that run. Eso there's kind of a kind of interesting is just a completely different personality from once, which I think might be one of the main differences. The keys there, But Hargrave, you know, he talked about how he was and he got injured in training camp. Um, he didn't He didn't play the first couple of games and he came in didn't really do much early on, but he was clearly entered the game this season. Eagles fans were quick to judge, so they're kind of like, Well, this guy was just This guy got a three year, 39 million contract. He's not doing anything, But I think now we're finally there. Finally seeing why the Eagles signed them, he's that multiple sacks or last couple of weeks. Um, he's just next to Fletcher cops there. There's nothing you could do on the inside the offensive line. You cannot, if you double team one of them than the other one. Just going to lose and you can't do that. And he's as a pass rusher. He is more effective than Cox, so he's kind of like a perfect complement because Cox will just eat people up in the run. Being the car, you even get to feel in Russia quarterback. Very nice deal there. They're gonna have for a couple of years here. Yeah, you know, I'm a big fan of Fletcher Cox. I think, behind Aaron Donald. He's probably the next best interior defensive lineman in the league on then you know, you. I think you said it really well. I think if you're an Eagles fan and you don't, you know, know too much about Hargrave, you might have thought. OK, why are we spending money on another defensive tackle when we already have Fletcher talks? It's so that you can own the interior of the of the line because no, a match up there, just not on. The Eagles have a lot of other deficiencies on their defense. But when you have a run stuffer like Cox and a guy who could get to the quarterback like Cox can get to the quarterback and then a guy who's better at it and Hargrave, that's a tough defensive line to stop. And you're not even talking about some of the speedier guys on the exterior who not as strong as the Eagles used to be there, but still pretty decent. I don't know Josh, what's really good, Josh Sweat is good. There's a couple of the battle of the sweat on the line in the NFC East is gonna be fun. You and I are both very high on Monty's for the football team, so this is this divisions getting interesting again. I think you and I declared the Eagles dead a few weeks ago. I think that was with the assumption that once was gonna be the quarterback, because at the time, it didn't seem like they're ever gonna move on. E still think the football team is the favorite, but the Eagles are definitely alive now for sure. There was a bunch of, like, nonsense, like before the Seahawks And is that hurts? Gonna get so many snaps this week. He got two snaps. So there's a lot of that stuff going on this season. I'm like, What's the point of why would you draft this guy? I'm not gonna even give him a shot. And then you have a shot. Yeah. I mean, I'm in a two quarterback fantasy league and and once was having a really tough year overall, but he was still running a lot. So he was decent fantasy wise, and he is my second guy, and then they say, Oh, hurts is going to get a bunch of snaps. I bench once, and then he plays the whole game. You know, love. When that happens, let's get into our picks. This week with that. We've got some early games because you know, college football winding down. The NFL can move into Saturday and own that, too. But on Thursday, the Chargers at the Raiders huge game, Raiders clinging to at this point, pretty thin or dim. Playoff hopes. Is that true? They're they're kind of in trouble, right? Uh, but the charges air out of it. But this is the Chargers again. Kind of the perfect spoiler team with Justin Herbert at quarterback, developing, playing great, um, weapons, like Keenan Allen. Mike Williams in Austin. Heckler problem that charge. Uh, so the Raiders in the ninth spot and they're still behind the Ravens and the Dolphins for that seventh spot. The cold probably pretty much locked into that six spot. Brown's pretty much locked in. Uh, it's not looking good for the Raiders. They got from the Ravens and the Dolphins. So the Raiders, they're gonna need a win out, and then they're going to need help. And the Ravens have a very easy schedule the rest of the way. So that's not looking looking to Great. I would say I'm going to go with the Chargers. I feel like the Raiders were just kind of sleepwalking right now. Uh huh. Yeah, it's Ah, it's unfortunate because they were looking really solid in the middle part of the season. We're like, yeah, the Raiders pretty solid all around. I don't think he runs a bad coach, is just I wondered. I wonder what the max is on car. Yeah, I really do wonder that. But the events hasn't been playing well either. I mean, 44 points as against the Colts? Uh, it just seems like a, uh seems like they're in a bit of a tailspin. Hero. It's like I think that I think the Raiders Aaron average roster that is capable of playing very well and capable of playing terribly like they're not an average roster. That's gonna be average every week. I think they were like a horrible defensive call away from losing to the Jets. Yeah, like that. They have a low floor in high ceiling, for sure. I think we're We might see that low floor go the Chargers against the Chargers Saturday. Exciting. I love NFL on Saturday. I love it. The Buffalo Bills, red hot off a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, will travel to mile high stadium. Always a tough thing to Dio to face the Denver Broncos, who suddenly have some confidence because they remembered how to score. Um, the Bills were legit, and everyone, everyone talks about Josh Allen and he's been good. But that offensive line has has come out of nowhere, kind of to be the best in the league. I think pretty easily they do a great job of giving Alan time to go through his reads. They don't force him into in the those tough decisions. The Steelers exposed it a little early with how good their pass rush is. And Alan had one of those, you know, floundering interceptions. But they righted the ship. Stefon Diggs gets going. Allen gets his confidence. They beat the Steelers. The Broncos get their confidence against the Panthers. Make some big plays. I'm gonna go with the Bills is the obvious pick, but it's always tough to travel across the country. It's always tough to play it elevation. Denver is capable of playing well. I think this is going to be closer than expected, but I like the Bills. Yeah, I like the bills here. I'm not. I'm not as big on the Broncos. Is that Waas coming into this season? I think. Well, yeah, Well, last week, the lack of Panthers players, I think, contributed to that. When, uh, it Zafon things is an awesome season for the Bills. I like finding themes and things. And I think one of the themes of this NFL season is that there are multiple examples of, uh, to kind of two people, two entities, kind of being, uh, both right at the same time, like both Both both kind of effective separate. And what I mean by that is this the bond digs. Viking separation has proved off to be a mutual, you know, beneficial move for both sides. Another thing I think of is the Brady Belichick split, because we're seeing it. We're seeing kind of the same time. Like I think what we're really learning is that it wasn't one of the other is both them together. It's okay. It's special. So I think we're seeing a lot of interesting things, like in the NFL this season. That's kind of random, but I'm going to build here, uh, tough sledding for the Panthers this week. They get a night game at Lambeau Stadium against UH, M V P frontrunner Aaron Rodgers. He's worked his way back into the conversation as the front runner. Um, I think it's a two man race. At this point. I think the Packers are going to win very easily. Last year, the Panthers went toe Lambeau in the snow and gave the Packers all they could handle. Kyle Allen had a chance, uh, in the red zone toe win the game. They didn't get it done, but I don't think it will be as close this time. I don't think the Panthers have an answer for Davante Adams. I don't think they have an answer for Erin Jones, and J. R. Alexander is going to take away one of their corners or one of their receivers. You don't think result. Douglas is gonna be able to stay with the about the Atoms. No, I almost rather that Rogers wins. Maybe this year I think Mahomes we're gonna have a lot more chances now. Align its's. We don't know. We don't know if it's gonna be the last time Rogers looks is good or not. So I think I'd rather rodders win it. But back to this game. The pet. The Panthers don't. Yeah, I would like to see the Panthers win, but I don't think is gonna happen. Yeah, he would. Eso that the Eagles could potentially have a higher pick the Panthers. But Packers are big favorites for a reason. The Texans at the coal to the A F C South teams playing each other once again, A zoo always happens. Every week they play. They're always playing each other. The rare phenomenon. Um, I'm going to go with cults. The Texans are done well, that will fuller man. Things are rough over there for Shawn Watson and Brandon cooks to last week. You have to did two days ago, right? And, uh, I know, I know the Bears defense is great, but they have to score more than a touchdown against the Now is probably the most surprising score of the week. Does that blowout Bears or the Texans? Um, the culture winning this easily, probably by 17 points. E. I agree. I think it will be another huge game for Jonathan Taylor and potentially 19 pines to that Texans. Kolski Texans run defense is awful. David Montgomery showed that on the first play with an 80 yard touchdown run. The Lions at the Titans kind of a big game. The Titans air pretty secure in their playoff spot. But if they lose that, that becomes endangered because the Ravens and the Dolphins are there. The Lions are, I think, still fighting for their playoff lives were fighting for their playoff lives. They have a remote, remote, remote chance, I think, a to five and eight. So they went out and get help. They could make it, But the chance they're not gonna win because the tight Yeah, the Buccaneers at the Falcons NFC South showdown. Tom Brady against Matt Ryan and a quarterback rematch of Super Bowl 51. Great game. Um, I think Tom Brady's gonna win again. Yeah, he's gonna win again. The Falcons, uh, I think they're They're, like, kind of like honeymoon phase with the new coach. It's kind of come to an end a little bit. The Bucks, like they have to keep. They had to stake in system. I mean, there's no way they can play that badly that in that stretch before last week they can't play like that the rest of season. If they just do things if they just do things, not necessarily explosively, but they do everything the right way. Like the last week is the Vikings. I think they're gonna be fine, especially in this game. Um, yeah, I mean Brady just Brady's ITT's some points. It's just really sad to watch Brady because there's throws that, you know, like even a couple of years ago he would make. So it's kind of it's kind of frustrating, even though, like I hate him, right? It's just this whole frustrating to watch that watch that happen. You know, he did drop a dime to Scotty Miller last week. That was nice, but some ugly throws on on Sunday. Also, I think the Bucks kind of got a little bit lost in the sauce, so to speak with this roster construction, you bring in great bronc and that's great on. But I think kind of bringing in for net and Antonio Brown was overkilled. I think that just was too many pieces to bring in because you have Ronald Jones who is great. You already had my Gevinson Chris Godwin, who are both great. I think they have too many cooks in the kitchen situation with that offense at times. And Leonard Fournette was a healthy scratch last week, so I think they're kind of admitting they don't even need him on that roster. Um, but I think Ronald Jones did suffer an injury, did you? A little bit. Not sure. Eso we'll see. We'll see how that shakes out. Um, but yeah, I think I think the Buccaneers did a little too much, and I think it might cost them in the playoffs. Jaguars at Ravens Uh, Lamar Jackson. Awesome. I mean, that was a performance for the ages last night. Uh, people, you said that people be talking about that for a very long time. Best game of the year. Best game, maybe best regular season games since that that Chiefs Rams Mexico City game are probably up there for that awesome game. I think Lamar and the Ravens kind of got their swagger back a little bit. They've been missing it this year, and they needed a game like that to kind of find it, and they're gonna get a chance to build on it against the bad Jaguar's team. We mentioned that soft schedule is why the Ravens they're likely to make the playoffs, even though they're not spot right now. This is where that comes into play, then the Patriots at the Dolphins. This is the other huge game. The Ravens will be rooting very hard for the New England Patriots because they're gonna need the Dolphins to drop a game at some point, I don't know if it's gonna be this week. I think the Dolphins air are gonna Well, I'm gonna go with the Pats. I'm gonna change my mind mid mid sentence because the Patriots handled them very easily in week one. Um, and I think, you know, it's Ah, it's a Belichick against a bill. It wasn't too of, though. It wasn't with two of, but Fitzpatrick was good. Patrick Fitzpatrick was good. I'm gonna go with the Patriots. Bill always beats his. His guys, they have. So they had a couple extra days arrest, but they just last time you saw him on a Thursday night game that just completely goodness gracious, they didn't have. There's nothing positive about that performance Thursday night against the Rams. Yeah, but the Patriots is, aren't They're not looking great right now, so I'm gonna go the dolphins but they were coming off a 45. Nothing went the week before that. The paint. You never know what you're gonna get with Patriots this year. That's true. It's like it's like every week. It's a different story, but yeah, I'm going. The Dolphins bears Vikings Huge, huge, huge game. Both teams sitting at six and seven. Mitch Verbitsky is back and he's playing well ish, playing pretty well. I think they should never have benched him for fools. E it disrupted. They were three, and Oh, and it just kind of disrupted their whole thing. Um, yeah, It is gonna come down to whoever whoever controls the ball more risk in Montgomery and Cook. Yeah, and And if it's gonna be cousins or Mitch, that makes the crippling interception E No, you have to like, you have to wonder if, like, the Bears did find something last week. Maybe they can carry that over. But I'm gonna go the Vikings. Yeah, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go with the Vikings, I think, you know, feeling. And Jefferson, I almost had feeling and digs because that was just what you said for forever feeling. And Jefferson. The bucks were able to take them both away is hard to take them both away. The Vikings close. I would not be surprised. The Bears one, uh, Seahawks at the football team. Another massive game. The Seahawks are safe with nine wins in the bank already, but they're not playing particularly great football right now. Russell Wilson leads the NFL in turnovers since, like week five or six, even more than once, even more than Lock even more than the other guys who have struggled this year. Um, well, if once wasn't benched, I'm sure wants to be having, you know, So you say about that? Maybe he might he might, Um this is interesting, because, I mean, Chase Young is coming on. I mean, we talked about Jeremy. Chin is kind of locking up defensive rookie of the year with that two touchdown game Chase Young put himself right back in that conversation with that touchdown he had against the 40 Niners last week. He's a monster. I was gonna win it. He's gonna win for name recognition, especially if they win the division. He's definitely gonna win the ventilator leader, but I don't think they're going this week. I think I'm gonna be Oh, I just think, Wilson, just one of those guys in there. How much pressure you get? He has just has a way of just make it not effective. I mean, sometimes, well against retakes tax. But I think it's gonna be one of those games where he just like, annoyingly, gets away from them the entire game. And Alex Smith got hurt last week, and Dwayne Haskins looked terrible when he came back in and Tony Gibson might be out. So, yeah, I mean, I think Seattle's the pick here, the 40 Niners at the Cowboys, the Cowboys coming off a win over Cincinnati and the Andy Dalton revenge game, the 40 Niners lost to the football team. The Cowboys are not out of it, either. At four and nine. Ah, half a game behind the Eagles, Uh, in two games behind the football team, they're going to need a lot of help, But it's not gonna matter, because the 40 Niners we're gonna win this game. I had the Cowboys interesting. The Jets at the Rams, the Rams. You agree? Yeah, the Rams might come out of the NFC. They're looking very good right now. um, also equals at Cardinals. If the Eagles, we're gonna have a chance to win the division, they're gonna need this one because their a game and a half behind Washington. I have the Eagles in this game. Joel is going with the Eagles. This is interesting. You guessed Lincoln Riley next year. Yeah, eso, the Cardinals, Plame or man coverage than any other team in the league. That's a problem against running quarterbacks because all your secondary guys have their backs to them. So Jalen hurts. I think he's gonna have a nice rushing game. Let me tell you something. The Eagles rugby football player during my lot at left tackle, just a monster human being 6 ft 8 £360. He's a better offensive tackle than your Thomas The Giants drafted for overall. Is he better than D. J. Humphries, though? No, but I'm talking about Hassan. Reddick had five sacks last week, mostly all against Andrew Thomas. Andrew Thomas has not had a good season at all. That's a terrible thing by Gettleman, especially looking at Beckton across the city who was picked 12 picks after him. Huge my life. My life was almost as big as him, but my Lotte has been. People talk about the Eagles offensive line. My life is better than who they would have started to begin with. So I'm just saying, like, E, don't think Carl's and we all get to hurts As much as they got the junk last week, delve back briefly to delve back into the Jets. There's been a lot of, like jokes and memes, so to speak about. If Trevor Lawrence, you know, if the Jets pick first Trevor Lawrence going back to Clemson, he should not do that. Left tackle. He has his left tackle already, and he's got Denzel Men's Jamison Crowder already there. A wide receiver. That's a better situation than Joe Burrow stepped into, you know it's coming back from injury. Yeah, I mean, he, Lawrence, that's a good situation to walk into. I know it's the Jets. I know they're terrible. I know they mess everything up, but you got your left tackle. That's gonna help you not get hurt the way Joe Burrow just got hurt. Uh, and yeah, I mean, it's a good situation. Walk into this is gonna be a good close game. Um, give me the Cardinals very close. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Eagles one just a little better than hurts. It's gonna be interesting what happens with slaves, concussion of slave plays. And you have to think that's gonna limit Hopkins the eight catches for 100 yards instead of 15, few 100 a cold lately, they they're not using them right. It's brutal. Um, but I'd still rather have slave way. Want to play covering him? I got a coin flip in this one. I'll just go with the Cardinals to take the opposite side. Chiefs at the Saints Big game Chiefs are going to win. We'll see if the Saints get Drew Brees back for this one. The Chiefs have just been kind of e think I said it last week, that they're kind of just on cruise control. Auto pilot Right now. That's the way it is. They're They're just doing enough toward my one score. I think they've won five straight games by one score witness one by one score, too, but it probably won't be that close. But now they beat the Dolphins by 20. No, they the Dolphins came back. It was a six point game. I was thinking I was focused on hurts. It was a 20 point game at one point, and then it all came back on Sunday night on WRL Tune in to WRL for the Cleveland Browns at the New York Giants. Huge game for the Giants. Huge game for Daniel Jones. Larry Ogunjobi, one of our guys on the Browns, had a tough night last night because, uh, Lamar Jackson was on the other side and they schemed some pretty good running opportunities against that defensive line for him and J. K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards. But I'm gonna go with the Browns pretty big here. This is one of those make or break games for Daniel Jones. It's on prime time. It's in a spot you seem absolutely has to win. If they want to continue to contended, the division is against a playoff team, the Browns. This is gonna be one of the games that defines what career is gonna be right. Like I said a couple episodes ago, the Giants will have every opportunity they need to draft a quarterback, Uh, in the first round of this year, Um, whether it's a via trade up or just staying where they are. Jones needs to play well. This game. Yeah, and I e. Well, I think we're gonna find out about this young Giants defense, too, because on prime time look, the Browns air a good offense, but they're a beatable offense. That's the perfect test for Young. Defense is this is a good offense that puts up a ton of points. But can you exploit the weaknesses? Can you get to Baker, Mayfield and make him uncomfortable before he rolled out to find the one wide open guy who then runs for 15 yards? I have to say the biggest advantage of Browns have is that terrible field that was like Lamar was slipping all over the place. But when the Eagles played them a couple weeks ago, the same thing was happening. So even once, but it was mostly once his fault. But that's been happening all year, So they need Thio. There's something wrong with that field. They're using it as an advantage. I'm sure field advantage. It's just like the FedEx Field. It's designed to mess up the our team. Okay. Monday night on ESPN, the Steelers at the Bengals, the Steelers have lost two in a row after their 11, and then start there. Not They're not. Um, yeah. I mean, the Steelers were not in 11 0, caliber team. We agreed on that. But they are a very good team, and they will be this. This game would have been very fun of Borough had not gone hurt, although him, like he might have got hurt in this game if you can get her earlier. Uh, so it's unfortunate one of those times they're trying toe schedule ahead. Something really cool, but it just injuries wise. It kind of affects it.
