Improvement work may cause delays on Icefield Parkway

Parks Canada is warning of delays along the Icefield Parkway (Highway 93) in Jasper National Park beginning this Friday due to construction.
Crews will start mobilizing for pavement repair and improvement work along a section of the highway, about 75 kilometres south of the Jasper townsite.
Motorists should expect single-lane alternating traffic beginning on Friday with delays of up to 20 minutes at a time.
Crews will be excavating the highway to replace the current surface and improve drainage for better long-term maintenance of the road.
