IMPD investigating after man struck, killed on northwest side

UPDATE: The man struck and killed was identified March 15 as Demarcus Williams 26.
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An investigation is underway on the city’s northwest side after a man was killed, according to the Indianapolis Police Department.
Police were called to the 6400 block of Zionsville Road near Indian Cove Road around 5 a.m. for a pedestrian struck.
Police said a man was laying in the middle of the road when he was hit by an SUV. The driver of the SUV remained on scene and called 911.
No other information has been provided on the situation.
