Alberta’s largest immunization centre is set to open in downtown Calgary on Monday, with the ability to scale up to 120 vaccination stations delivering 6,000 jabs per day.
The Telus Convention Centre, which has taken on many roles during the pandemic, was chosen because of its central location and proximity to transit. Its opening will bring the total number of Alberta Health Services immunization sites in the Calgary area to 25.

Nick Thain, a senior operating official for the AHS Calgary Zone, said 500 vaccinations can be completed per day for every 10 operational stations in the building.
