BEHIND its relentless efforts and commitment to progress, Ilagan City has been cited as one of the most improved and highly urbanized cities in the Department of Trade and Industry National Competitiveness Index.Out of the 33 local government units (LGUs), Iligan has proudly secured its position among the top three, with Cebu and Butuan under the Most Improved LGU.'Thanks to our relentless efforts and commitment to progress, we've taken a remarkable leap forward, where Iligan City landed on the 26th spot from 33rd based on the sum of our scores on the 4 Pillars of National Competitiveness Index,' said City Mayor Frederick Siao.'This significant jump can be attributed to our dedication and strategic promotional initiatives,' added Siao.Siao, now in his first term as Mayor of the City of Iligan, brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as the city's congressman during the 17th and 18th Congresses.'This indicates a big change in our management of local government, a tribute and testament to the hard work and dedication of our public servants, community leaders, and every Iliganon who has contributed to our progress,' said Siao.'It is also a reminder of our belief in growth, innovation, and excellence,' noted Siao.
