'Big Short' investor Michael Burry appears to be betting on a market crash - but after predicting the 2008 mortgage crisis he has also made multiple false doomsday prophecies

A securities filing earlier this week showed that Burry held bearish put options against shares tracking the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 Index worth a combined $1.6 billion at the end of the last quarter.
