'Another Round' to be the opening film for the festival and Satyajit Ray’s classic 'Pather Panchali' will be screened at the festival
With 50% occupancy, SOPs in place, shows with 1.5 hours gap, physical screenings will be organised at IFFI in Goa from January 16-24. Over 200 films will be screened under different sections at the festival which will be organised in a hybrid format.
Another round to open 51st IFFI
Danish filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg’s 'Another Round', which is Denmark’s official entry for Oscars 2020 will be the opening film at IFFI. This film was also part of Cannes Film Festival’s official selection. Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Japanese film 'Wife of a Spy' (2020), will be the closing film at IFFI. Among others, Satyajit Ray’s 'Pather Panchali' (1955), Stanley Kubrick’s 'Path of Glory' (1957), Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Devdas' (2002) will also be screened.
